The KSGBT Green Audit

The KSGBT Green Audit is a methodology developed by Center for Research and innovative Green Building Technology™ specifically designed for organizations that have made a commitment to “going green” but who need help in taking practical steps towards that goal.

The National Assessment And Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country. Now, as per recent decision, NAAC will function as an autonomous and independent body and will report directly to the HRD Ministry.


LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Development is an internationally –recognized green building certification system developed by the U.S Green Building Council (USGBC).Its application and support has extended out side the US and is widely used in India, Middle East and South East Asia. It should be recognised that whilst LEED can –and often is – applied outside US, US standards are still required to met rather than local codes of construction.

Our LEED Approved Professionals have global experience in delivering LEED and the other Sustainability Assessment certifications listed here, and so are best placed to apply the methodology to projects in India, Qatar and Middle East.

 IGBC Green Building Rating System

The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) was formed in the year 2001. The vision of the council is, "To enable a sustainable built environment for all and facilitate India to be one of the global leaders in the sustainable built environment by 2025".

The council offers a wide array of services which include developing new green building rating programmes, certification services and green building training programmes. The council also organises Green Building Congress, its annual flagship event on green buildings.

 IGBC Green New Buildings rating system® addresses green features under the following categories:

       - Sustainable Architecture and Design
       - Site Selection and Planning
       - Water Conservation
       - Energy Efficiency
       - Building Materials and Resources
       - Indoor Environmental Quality
       - Innovation and Development

The guidelines detailed under each mandatory requirement & credit enables the design and construction of new buildings of all sizes and types (as defined in scope). Different levels of green building certification are awarded based on the total credits earned. However, every green new building should meet certain mandatory requirements, which are non-negotiable.

Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA)

GRIHA is a rating tool that helps people assesses the performance of their building against certain nationally acceptable benchmarks. It evaluates the environmental performance of a building holistically over its entire life cycle, thereby providing a definitive standard for what constitutes a ‘green building’. The rating system, based on accepted energy and environmental principles, will seek to strike a balance between the established practices and emerging concepts, both national and international.

Internationally, voluntary building rating systems have been instrumental in raising awareness and popularizing green design. However, most of the rating systems devised have been tailored to suit the building industry of the country where they were developed.

This tool has been adopted by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. This tool, by its qualitative and quantitative assessment criteria, is able to ‘rate’ a building on the degree of its 'greenness'

Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS)-Middle East

The Global Sustainability Assessment system (GSAS) set targets for green construction in the built environment through the creation of performance criteria and standards that address both the regional needs and the climate of Middle East(Qatar,Oman,bahrin,Kindom of Saudi Arabia and Jordan)

Green Construction Management Services

 Construction projects impact the environment and building occupants. The use of sustainable construction methods significantly reduces, and can often eliminate these negative impacts. Project Managers at Integrated Green can help clients minimize this risk by adhering to LEED® guidelines for sustainable construction through all phases of a project. We will manage a project from inception or schematic design, to design/development, to construction documents and specifications, to construction, and finally to occupancy.

During the schematic design phase, Integrated Green carries out a review of the design goals with the owner and/or tenant, followed by a first cost analysis and an evaluation of design alternatives to maximize potential LEED® credits. We can then perform modeling and further analysis needed to develop Green Specifications for the project.

During the construction document and specification phase, Integrated Green will identify critical LEED® design elements on Drawings and in Specifications. Working closely with the contractor, the project manager finalizes construction documents to conform to LEED® requirements, including a detailed plan for Waste Reduction, Material Reuse and Recycling, and reduced site disturbance.

Once construction begins, we will monitor progress and document results in accordance with LEED® guidelines. At the completion of a LEED® Project, our team will help clients apply for rebates and grants, organize and submit all LEED® credit documentation and initiate the process for the project to be certified by the USGBC
